The primer will highlight bumps and lumps that aren't apparent without paint. Then sand again at that stage to get the smooooothie finish. There is, of course, a problem if the kit has raised panel lines because they disappear. The only choices then are 1) the difficult option - sand off all raised panel lines and rescribe them (aieee!), or 2) just go very carefully on the sanding and accept that it won't be really smooth at the end.AlFronthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03309612957773750838noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9158170957493722374.post-85753449876845849372012-05-20T10:25:23.863+12:002012-05-20T10:25:23.863+12:00I hear that! I suppose that why 1:72 and 1:76 armour is so much more satisfying, as lumpy bits look fine. I'm with Dan on thinning plus a number of coats.AlFronthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03309612957773750838noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9158170957493722374.post-43656260110541703282012-05-20T09:38:59.815+12:002012-05-20T09:38:59.815+12:00This has happened to me before as well Nick, and D...This has happened to me before as well Nick, and Dan has hit the nail on the head with the issue.

Cold weather hurts the process as well mate.Paulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06666481879639671282noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9158170957493722374.post-13407531450607148662012-05-20T09:10:13.928+12:002012-05-20T09:10:13.928+12:00Cheers Dan, yeah I'm fiddling around with a th...Cheers Dan, yeah I'm fiddling around with a thinner approach with the Hurricane.Nick Granthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15668435293578877174noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9158170957493722374.post-67928394198629505432012-05-20T00:45:58.844+12:002012-05-20T00:45:58.844+12:00looking good, I would say the paint came out lumpy...looking good, I would say the paint came out lumpy because it was to thick, thin it out a bit and it should paint on smooth, but you may need to do a couple of coats to get a consistent coverage.Danhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00499495967206208750noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9158170957493722374.post-66211483024994102962012-05-19T21:51:52.249+12:002012-05-19T21:51:52.249+12:00Thanks Rodger.
