Paul over at Plastic Warriors just scored himself a couple of Stukas for Christmas. I mentioned that I too was working on one that I got a while ago (at the same time as I got the Hurricane). He mentioned that he'd like to see my progress thus far. So...here's what I managed this afternoon...
Nick
Good skills Nick it looks a cracker. I see it has pilots which is a real bonus whats the maker of the kit? Airfix?
ReplyDeleteI will start one tomorrow I think now that you have given me a kick start.
Nice one.
Yep, Airfix. I'm hoping to get away with not having to use any filler, but we'll see. To be fair, it's pretty simple - which suits me. I want to wargame with it, not just look at it!
DeleteYes thats the best way to think about things Nick. Thats why I do not worry too much about those pesky wing roots!
DeleteLooking good. I have the Airfix Stuka, a nice kit.
ReplyDeleteThanks Michael. 'Course the proof is in the finishing!
DeleteLooks cool mate.
ReplyDeleteDid you get any hobby related stuff for Christmas?
Thanks John,
DeleteNo models as such, well kits anyway, but I did get some vouchers from my chn's parents at school with which I bought Robo Rally and King of Tokyo, and got some money from my mum and sister in law with which I got those X Wing miniatures.
Had my first game with them last night - Wedge Antilles along with a B and an A wing, vs. Darth Vader, Soontir Fel and another TIE Interceptor. Close game, but in the end, after Wedge took out his shields and all but one hull point before being taken out, the B wing managed to out fly (by being very slow - bit like a Tiger Moth vs. a Zero) Vader and blowed 'im to bits!
How was your haul?
