Vs Darryn. Best game of the day - came down to the difference of two whole points!
Good evening,
So it was that I came to the last game of the day. Another big ship centred list, Dengar in The Punishing One, with a Kihraxz and a Protectorate. I figure I've got a better chance to take out his little fellows than Dengar, and deploy accordingly, with a sneaky attempt to fly a Scyk off to the left.
Silly Scyks. Can't fly fast. Can't fly slow. Can carry a cannon.
We close...
...and Kaa'to gets lucky with his Clusters against the Kihraxz.
Huzzah!
I keep forgetting to reroll with my own Dengar, so put the card down to remind me!
Alas...
...the card wasn't down for long!
More swirling and twirling...
...this is the X Wing I enjoy, fighters against fighters...
...and Kaa'to goes kablooey. Again.
Darryn flies off Dengar to allow his gonk droid to charge up shields, with leaves his fighter against mine.
Boom!
Huzzah!
Aww...drats!
Still, by now I've eaten into Dengar's hull, though Darryn keeps denying me half points by reapplying shields from Gonk! Well played Darryn, well played...
...though this last shot stripped his last shield...
...and time was called!
Huzzah! Now this was a great game, very close, very cool. Yes I lost, but only by two points!
Thanks Darryn,
Nick

2017 X Wing Christchurch Regionals - Game 4
Vs. Jeremy and his brutal one two punch. Another big ship list. Urghh. Whatever happened to the X Wing I used to know? Reminds me of a song...
Good evening,
Right, back to the bottom tables again I go, this time meeting Jeremy who was on his way back up, flying Asajj and Bossk with a very effective combination of upgrades...which I can't remember right now. Something about a very very powerful alpha strike.
Not really wanting to face either of them, I setup my little guys in the middle.
Then split my forces, my more agile ships going one way, my less agile the other.
Unfortunately, a Scyk gets tractored onto a rock...
...and is dealt with with contempt!
Bossk shoots at Palob...
...and takes out his TLT. Again!
Aghh, once again the Hawk is down to but one attack dice in the front arc!
Ughh...Asajj comes to squash us from behind.
Kaa'to is tractored out of his opportunity to shoot at the slaver transport, denying him his scavenger-craned missile shot.
Tractored once again...
...Kaa'to gets done by anti pursuit lasers...I think...
Bother!
The Scyk gets done in...
...which just leaves Palob...
...to die horribly!
Well, at least I got the YV down to half points.
Well played Jeremy, well played.

2017 X Wing Christchurch Regionals - Game 3
vs Awhi and his nasty nasty Ghostie...it was just brutal!
Good afternoon,
Game three saw me up against Awhi and his terribly effective Hera-with-Biggs-and-Zeb list. The Ghost with TLT and docked shuttle - double TLT shots! Paired with Biggs, and well...
...I wasn't going head to head with that lot!
Still, for all of my circling...
...and Awhi's flying around the edge of the board...
...the end...
...was never...
...really...
...in doubt!
I'm pretty sure the Ghost still had shields on at the end!
Brutal, just brutal!
Well played Awhi, well played!
