First Finished 12Bw

Good evening,

Having completed 3 wargames within the last 18 hours (one Great War Spearhead, two X Wing with Robin and Bruce respectively), I've got a few battle reports to write up.

So, in the meantime...here is my first finished Early Achaemenid Persian Sarabara infantry element - a double DBA 12Bw element, if you will.

Taken outside yesterday in natural, if cloudy, light.

And these taken this evening when my phone's battery didn't allow the camera's flash.

Still, you get the idea.

And let's face it, just having eight figures on that size base would just look...sparse.

  1. I agree, eight on a base that size would look spars. Nice unit, well executed. Particularly interesting basing technique. Very realistic.

    1. Cheers! I read somewhere ages back that the sarabara units had at least twice as many bow men than spear men. I'm quite pleased that I had the room and the figures to model an approximation thereof.

  2. I like it, how you placed 12 figures on such bases! And they are great painted!

    1. Thanks Peter. I'm pretty pleased with them. Might need a finer brush to highlight the faces.
